Maintenance Tips for XS265EP Road Roller
- Daily Maintenance (every 10 hours of work)
1.Check the level of hydraulic oil
Check the display window of the hydraulic oil level gauge. If the oil level is lower than the middle position of the window, add hydraulic oil immediately.
2. Check the water level in the water tank
After the engine cools down, rotate the radiator filler cap by about 1/4 turn. Wait until the pressure in the water tank drops and stabilizes. Then unscrew the filler cap and check the liquid level. If necessary, add coolant. It is necessary to use coolant of the same brand.
- First 50-hour Maintenance
1.Replace the hydraulic oil filter
The hydraulic oil filter needs to be replaced after the first 50 hours of use. From then on, replace it every 500 hours. Shut down the machine to allow the hydraulic oil to cool. Clean the area around the filter thoroughly, remove the filter element, carefully clean the sealing surface on the filter cover, apply oil to the sealing ring, screw on the new filter element by hand until the sealing ring is in place and then screw another half turn. After assembly, check for any leaks.
2. Replace the lubricating oil for the drive axle
The drive axle lubricating oil of the road roller needs to be replaced after the first 50 hours of use. From then on, it should be replaced every 500 hours. Park the road roller on a level road surface, keep the oil filler plug at the lowest position, turn off the machine, place small buckets below each oil drain port, clean around the oil filler plug, unscrew the oil filler plug, when the dirty oil is drained completely, immediately tighten the oil filler plug (the sealing ring needs to be replaced); turn the oil filler plug to the highest position, add clean gear oil from the oil filler port, add until the oil level indicator overflows, tighten each oil plug (the sealing ring needs to be replaced).
3. Replace the lubricating oil of the vibration wheel reducer
The vibration wheel reducer oil needs to be replaced after the first 50 hours of use. From then on, it should be replaced every 1,000 hours. Park the road roller on a level road surface. Adjust the oil drain port of the reducer to the exact bottom position. At this time, the oil level port on the output end of the reducer is in a horizontal position. Turn off the machine, unscrew the oil plugs at the oil filling port and the oil drain port, and release all the lubricating oil in the reducer (a container with a volume of approximately 6 liters should be placed below). Clean the surface of the oil plug, reinstall and tighten the oil plug at the oil drain port, remove the oil plug at the oil level port on the output end of the reducer, add clean gear oil (about 5 liters) from the oil filling port until the oil overflows from the oil level port, then reinstall and tighten the oil plugs at the oil level port and the oil drain port.
- Weekly Maintenance (every 50 hours of operation)
Check the tire pressure
Use the tire pressure gauge to check the tire pressure. The normal working range of tire pressure is 300 to 375 kilopascals. The inflation pressure of both tires should be equal.
- Monthly Maintenance (every 250 working hours)
1.Check the oil level of the vibration wheel
Drive the roller onto a level road surface (the operation requires the cooperation of two people, one driving the roller and the other standing beside the vibrating wheel to observe). The oil plug should be positioned directly above, while the oil level screw should be positioned at the lower side. Stop the roller, turn off the machine, loosen the oil level screw to check if there is any oil flowing out from the screw hole. If no oil flows out, it indicates that the oil level is too low. Add clean gear oil and add it through the oil plug hole until the oil flows out from the oil level screw hole.
2. Check the oil level of the vibration wheel reducer
Park the road roller on a level surface. Adjust the oil drain port of the reducer to the exact bottom position. At this point, the oil level port on the output end of the reducer is in a horizontal position. Shut off the machine, wipe clean the area around the oil level plug, unscrew the oil level plug and check the oil level. Under normal circumstances, the oil level should reach the lower edge of the oil level plug hole. If the oil level is too low, clean gear oil should be added. Add oil through the oil filler port until the oil level plug hole starts to overflow; wipe clean the surface of the oil level plug, and then tighten the oil level plug.
3. Check the oil level in the drive axle.
Park the roller on a level road surface, position the oil plug at the highest position, turn off the machine, and check the oil level through the oil level inspection ports. All three inspection ports need to be checked, and no omissions are allowed. If the oil level is low, add clean gear oil promptly. When adding oil, fill it up until the oil overflows from the oil port.
- Quarterly Maintenance (every 500 working hours)
1.Replace the hydraulic oil filter (refer to the first 50-hour maintenance)
2. Replace the lubricating oil for the drive axle (refer to the first 50-hour maintenance)
- Semi-annual Maintenance (per 1000 working hours)
Replace the lubricating oil of the vibration wheel reducer (refer to the first 50-hour maintenance)
- Annual Maintenance (every 2000 hours of operation)
1.Change the hydraulic oil
Park the road roller on a level surface, turn off the machine, unscrew the oil drain plug (a container with a capacity of approximately 40 liters should be placed below), and drain all the hydraulic oil from the oil tank; wipe off the iron filings and oil stains on the magnetic body of the oil drain plug, reinstall the plug; replace the hydraulic oil filter; open the oil filler cap, add clean hydraulic oil to the correct position. Apply high voltage, test the performance of the hydraulic system; recheck the oil level, add oil to the correct position if necessary.
2. Replace the lubricating oil of the vibration wheel
Drive the roller onto a level road surface (the operation requires the cooperation of two people, one driving the roller and the other standing beside the vibrating wheel to observe). Place the oil plug at the exact bottom position, and at the same time, the oil level screw is at the side bottom position. Turn off the machine, unscrew the oil plug at the bottom position, and release all the gear oil in the vibration chamber (a container with a volume of approximately 55 liters needs to be placed below). Clean the iron filings and oil stains on the oil plug, then tighten the oil plug. Unscrew the oil filling plug at the top position, loosen the oil level screw, and add oil through the filling hole at the top until the oil flows out from the screw hole of the oil level screw. Then tighten the oil filling plug at the top. The oil addition volume is approximately 50 liters.
